Reclaimed: An OTR Hostel

This hostel, including a cafe and vintage clothing store, exemplifies the concept of breathing new life into an area using resources and materials that have been there all along. Over-the-Rhine, a neighborhood rich in history located in downtown Cincinnati, has made huge restoration efforts in recent years, making it a fun and lively area to explore and live in. Reclaimed is a beacon of engagement in the neighborhood, welcoming both visitors of the area as well as locals.

With a community space on each of the 3 levels, collaboration and opportunity for connection among the guests is highly encouraged. There is a single staircase that winds through the center of the hostel which opens into the community space on each level, allowing guests to easily strike up conversations with those in the public spaces rather than just going directly to their rooms.
