Bank of America
Fall 2019 - Junior Year
Duration: 4 Weeks
This project was designed as a part of the 2019 PAVE Competition. The requirements called for a 1,200 sq ft pop-up banking experience that could easily be set up and moved across college campuses. The given program consisted of 2 ATMs, an education area, a teller experience, a private meeting room, a video conferencing room, and a special program of our choosing.
For my special program, I decided to make a central coffee bar. Students are not heavily exposed to finance and personal banking until they enter college and come to realize that they need to begin thinking about their financial future. Walking into a bank and having no idea where to begin can be very intimidating, therefore, I placed the coffee bar as the focal point of the space. College students run on coffee, so this allows them to grab a cup, and maybe have a casual, no-pressure conversation with a teller at the bar. For students ready to take the next step in their financial journey, there are 3 virtual tellers available for use, as well as a private video conference room where customers can chat with a real person about financial matters.
